Credit Suisse scoop Extel 2013 alpha capture award
2nd July 2013TIM Group would like to extend congratulations to Credit Suisse for winning the 2013 Thomson Reuters Extel Award for Alpha Capture. Results were announced last month, with Credit Suisse coming top for the second year in a row.
The Extel survey, now in it’s 30th year, is one of the most comprehensive surveys of its kind. They provide assessment and rankings of brokerage firms and individuals for research, equity sales and trading; of buyside firms and analysts; of corporates for IR expertise; an in-depth analysis of industry and market trends.
This is the second year that Extel have included alpha capture as an award category. Steve Kelly, Managing Director of Extel said:
“Electronic alpha capture services are increasingly valued by asset managers, and we have seen a solid growth in voting in this category – now in its second year in Extel. The rankings are led by the major sellside houses, and we anticipate even more interest in 2014 , as alpha capture becomes integral to every brokers’ offering to the buyside.”
We spoke to Richard Kyd, Global Head Of Electronic Alpha Capture at Credit Suisse, he said:
“We are delighted to win for the second year running, and that clients recognise the service that we provide. Alpha capture is an important and growing premium service for us and the electronic filtering, distribuion and analysis of our trade ideas, using platforms such as TIM Ideas Equities, allow us to deliver value to clients in an objective and transparent way.”
We will have more of an in-depth report on the Alpha Capture results in the near future so watch this space!
